Your daily sadhana, one lamp at a time

This website is for reading the panchangam. The practice — japa, dhyana, the daily lamp — lives in the app, in your pocket, and works with no connection at all.

Two halves of one thing

The site answers a question: what is today, and when. The app holds a practice: the count you have kept, the lamps you have lit, the timer you sit with. Neither needs the other, and using both costs nothing.

A mala that counts, and remembers

One tap per bead, with a haptic at each and a soft bell at the round. The app keeps the count for the session, the day and your lifetime total — so a mala put down mid-round is still there when you pick it up. No round is ever lost to a locked screen.

  • 108 beads, with a marker every 27
  • Haptic feedback; usable with the screen off
  • Lifetime count, kept on the device

A lamp for each day, and no scolding

Every day you practise lights a diya. A day you miss stays an unlit outline — it waits, and nothing else happens. There is no red mark, no broken-streak warning, and no notification designed to make you anxious. That is a deliberate design decision, not an oversight: a practice kept out of guilt is not the practice this app is for.

  • A month at a glance
  • A missed day simply waits
  • No streak-loss pressure, ever

Works with the plane in the air

The whole panchangam engine runs on your phone. Tithi, nakshatra, sunrise, rahu kalam — all computed locally from the same astronomy this website uses. Nothing is fetched, so nothing can be slow, and nothing about your practice leaves the device.
