Terms of Use
Effective 22 August 2026
These terms govern your use of nityadeepam.com, published by RedLapDigital Works. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1.What this site is
Nitya Deepam publishes a daily panchangam, festival and vratam guides, muhurat timings and a sloka library. The panchangam is computed astronomically from established ephemeris formulae for the city you select, and cross-referenced against the traditional printed panchangams in common use. It is offered as a reference for daily practice.
2.Accuracy and regional variation
Hindu calendrical practice varies legitimately by region, by sampradaya and by the panchangam a family follows. A tithi may be reckoned to a different day under the amanta and purnimanta conventions; a festival may be observed on either of two days. We publish our method openly on the 'How we compute' page. For weddings, griha pravesh, samskaras and other consequential occasions, please confirm the date and muhurta with your family's purohit or the panchangam your family follows. Timings shown are a reference, not a ruling.
3.Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is astrological, medical, legal, financial or religious advice. We do not publish predictions, horoscopes, kundali readings or matchmaking. You are responsible for decisions you make, and we accept no liability for them.
4.Permitted use
You may read, print, screenshot and share pages from this site for personal, family and non-commercial devotional use, including forwarding a day's panchangam to family or a community group. You may embed our widget on your own site provided the visible link back to Nitya Deepam is retained.
5.What you may not do
You may not scrape, bulk-download or systematically copy the site's computed data to build a competing product or dataset; republish substantial portions of our written guides as your own; remove attribution from the widget; or use automated tools in a way that degrades the service for others. Commercial licensing of the panchangam data is available — write to us.
6.Intellectual property
Site design, written guides, translations, illustrations and code are © RedLapDigital Works. Slokas, stotras and scriptural verses are traditional works in the public domain; our transliterations, translations and commentary on them are not. 'Nitya Deepam' and the diya mark are our marks.
7.Third-party links and advertising
Some pages carry advertising and links to third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or privacy practices. Advertising is served by Google AdSense; see our Privacy Policy for how it works and how to opt out of personalisation.
8.Availability
The site is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available. We rebuild it daily but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
9.Disclaimer and limitation of liability

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site or reliance on any timing, date or text published here. 10.Corrections
We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error in a date, a timing, a transliteration or a translation, write to info@redlapdigital.com with the page and what you believe is correct. We review every report, correct verified errors in the next daily build, and are grateful for them.
