Auspicious dates (shubh muhurat)
Muhurta is the practice of choosing when to begin something. These pages apply the standard rules — which nakshatras, tithis and weekdays a particular act traditionally favours, and which windows of the year close it — and list the days that satisfy them.
Every page publishes the rule it used, not just the dates it produced. If our list disagrees with your family purohit, you can see exactly which condition differs rather than having to take either list on trust.
One thing these pages will not do is pretend to be a full muhurta. A wedding or an upanayanam needs both horoscopes and a lagna calculation, which no calendar can supply. What is here is the structural filter: the days that are suitable in principle, which is where a purohit starts too.
