Nitya Deepam App — Terms of Use
Last updated 22 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Nitya Deepam Android application, published by RedLapDigital Works. Installing or using the app means you accept them. They sit alongside Google Play's own terms, which also apply.
1.Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you control, for personal and non-commercial devotional use. You may not redistribute the app, publish modified builds, or extract its data or assets for use in another product.
2.What the app is for
The app computes a panchangam and supports a daily practice — japa counting, a dhyana timer, and a record of the days you kept. It is a reference and a companion, not an authority. It gives no astrological, medical, legal or financial advice, and publishes no predictions, horoscopes or matchmaking.
3.Accuracy
Timings are computed astronomically for the city you select and cross-referenced against the traditional panchangams in common use. Regional practice varies legitimately, and a tithi or festival may be observed a day apart by different communities. For weddings, samskaras and other consequential occasions, confirm with your family's purohit. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of a timing shown in the app.
4.Your data is your responsibility
Because the app stores everything locally and uploads nothing, we hold no backup of your counts or streaks. Uninstalling, clearing storage, resetting or losing the device will lose that history, and we cannot restore it. Use the export in settings if the record matters to you.
5.Nitya Pro
Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional features. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Purchases, refunds and restoration are handled by Google Play under its policies; we cannot process a refund directly. Features included in Pro may change as the app develops, and existing purchasers keep access to what they bought.
6.Availability and updates
The app is provided as-is and as-available. We may update, change or withdraw features, and may end support for older Android versions. Nothing obliges us to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
7.Intellectual property
The app's code, design, written content, translations and illustrations are © RedLapDigital Works. Slokas, stotras and scriptural verses are traditional works in the public domain; our transliterations, translations and commentary are not. 'Nitya Deepam' and the diya mark are our marks.
8.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, and are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including loss of locally stored practice data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
9.Corrections
If you find an error in a timing, a date, a transliteration or a translation, write to info@redlapdigital.com. We check every report and correct verified errors in a following release.
10.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana having exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
