Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 August 2026
Nitya Deepam is operated by RedLapDigital Works. This policy explains exactly what the website collects, who else receives it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can: there is no account, no sign-up and no newsletter you have to join in order to read anything here.
1.Who we are
Nitya Deepam (nityadeepam.com) is published by RedLapDigital Works. For any privacy question, correction or request described in this policy, write to info@redlapdigital.com and we will reply within 30 days.
2.What we do not collect
The website has no login, no user accounts and no registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or birth details in order to use any page. We do not build profiles about you, we do not sell personal data, and we do not run horoscope, kundali or matchmaking services that would require your personal details.
3.Information stored on your own device
Your chosen city, language and light/dark theme are saved in your browser's localStorage under keys beginning with 'nd:'. This stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it at any time from your browser's site-data settings. If you use the 'Use my location' button, your coordinates are used in your browser only — to pick the nearest city in our list — and are never sent to our servers or to any third party.
4.Server logs
The site is served as static files from our hosting provider. Like all web servers, the host records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, referring page and browser user-agent — for security and troubleshooting. These logs are retained by the host for a limited period and are not used to identify individual visitors.
5.The contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are transmitted to a third-party form-delivery service (FormSubmit, or Web3Forms where configured), which forwards them to info@redlapdigital.com. That service sees what you send. We use the information only to reply to you, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not pass it on. If you would rather not involve a third party, email us directly at info@redlapdigital.com instead — the address is on the contact page.
6.Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are read, which language is chosen, whether the app link is clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes a truncated IP address. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising personalisation, or any user-ID feature, so the data cannot be tied back to a person. You can opt out entirely with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
8.How Google uses advertising data
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. These cookies may be used for ad selection, ad measurement, frequency capping and fraud prevention. A full description is in Google's 'How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services' notice, and the current list of certified ad partners is published in Google's Ad Technology Providers list.
9.Opting out of personalised advertising
You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at any time at adssettings.google.com. You can opt out of personalised advertising by many other vendors through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page (optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info; youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). Opting out does not remove advertising — it makes what you see less relevant to you.
10.Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message built on the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework is shown before any advertising or analytics cookie that is not strictly necessary is set. You may accept, reject, or set granular purpose-level choices, and you may change or withdraw your choice at any time using the 'Privacy settings' or 'Manage consent' link shown by that message. Where we rely on consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; where we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (server logs), it is Article 6(1)(f).
11.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the site holds no account and no identifiers of its own, in most cases the fastest route is to clear your browser's cookies and site data. For anything else, write to info@redlapdigital.com. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
12.The Android app is separate
The Nitya Deepam Android app carries no advertising. It is local-first: japa counts, streaks and settings live on your device. The app has its own privacy policy shown in the Play listing, and nothing in this website policy applies to it.
13.Children
This is a general-audience devotional site. It is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA/UK) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
14.Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, note it on the home page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
