Vrishabha runs from 30° to 60° and contains Rohini entire — the nakshatra the moon is said to favour above all others, and the one muhurta reaches for when something is meant to take root and last. Ruled by Venus and classified fixed and earthy, the rashi carries the same character in the classical descriptions: slow, productive and hard to shift. Aldebaran, the red giant that is the bull's eye, sits within Rohini near its middle.
